Felicity Morgan, Director
As the Director, Felicity is constantly exploring new ways to facilitate career education and deliver the highest quality experience to students at UTM. She aims for deep engagement in career education for all UTM students and supports the Career Centre team in reaching this goal. Felicity sees students as a career counselor because she loves doing it and it keeps her connected to students and their needs. With experience at all three UT campuses and in non-profit agencies, she has had many opportunities to learn and implement best practices. Outside of work, Felicity finds being active outdoors crucial for her mental health. An avid reader since childhood, she welcomes suggestions from all genres and backgrounds.
Career Development Unit
Our Career Development Unit supports students with personalized career counseling and employment guidance. Our Career Counsellors, holding a Master of Education in Counselling and various certifications, have extensive experience. Our Employment Strategists, with credentials like the Career Development Practitioner Certificate, excel in job search strategies. Together, they empower students with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate the job market and achieve their career goals.
Sheri Browne, Assistant Director
Sheri oversees a team of Career Counsellors and Employment Strategists at UTM, helping students explore their values, navigate external influences, and develop effective career strategies. With experience across U of T’s campuses and faculties, she’s passionate about integrating experiential learning into students’ academic and career planning. Sheri is dedicated to empowering students to set and achieve meaningful short- and long-term goals through personalized support and guidance.
Claire Smith-Victor, Career Counsellor
Claire supports students in discovering careers aligned with their values and strengths through respectful, collaborative counselling. She holds a master’s in Educational Counselling and encourages students to explore skill-building opportunities like volunteering, summer work, and work-study. Claire’s holistic approach integrates self-awareness with practical planning. A nature lover, she enjoys hiking and biking, having trekked in Nepal and summited Mount Kilimanjaro.

Farah Qamar, Registered Psychotherapist / Career Counsellor
Farah blends psychotherapy and career counselling to support students in finding purpose and motivation. With degrees from Australia and the U.S. and Gestalt training in Toronto, she creates a safe, empowering space for self-discovery. Farah helps students navigate career transitions with authenticity and confidence. Outside work, she enjoys nature, global cuisines, and reading widely across genres.

Hewton Tavares, Career Counsellor, International
Hewton supports international students with empathy, insight, and cross-cultural understanding. He holds a Career Counselling diploma, master’s, and PhD from OISE, where he studied immigrant integration through mentoring. A proud Brazilian and long-time Canadian resident, he actively advocates for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Hewton is passionate about higher education and helping students overcome barriers to realize their aspirations.

Jamie Kunkel, Career Counsellor
Jamie has over a decade of experience in career development, holding an MEd focused on inclusive education and counselling. She supports students in building resilience, leveraging strengths, and learning from setbacks. With a background across multiple post-secondary institutions, Jamie offers grounded, empathetic advice. Outside work, she enjoys reality TV, puzzles, true crime podcasts, and relaxing walks with her dog, Gary.

Lucille Yi, Employment Strategist
Lucille is an Employment Strategist - International who leverages her past experience in government, non-profit and recruiting to specialize in helping international students (and domestic students!) discover job opportunities both in Canada and abroad. She has worked in China, Türkiye and Canada.

Ron Wener, Employment Strategist
Ron brings over 30 years of experience in career education across all U of T campuses and beyond. A U of T alumnus with extensive training in employment law and accommodations, he is passionate about helping students succeed. Known on campus for his daily walks and love for UTM life, Ron also serves as an elected representative on UTM’s Campus Council.

Sheila Lau, Employment Strategist
Sheila is a UTM alumna and Career Development Practitioner with experience in student services, advocacy, and disability support. Her work-study roots sparked her passion for career development, leading to her postgraduate certificate. Sheila takes an inclusive, student-first approach, and brings a rich background in international NGO work, mentorship, and cultural performance to her current role.

Sooin Park, Career Counsellor
Sooin is a Certified Career Development Practitioner with a background in adult education and over 15 years’ experience in post-secondary and non-profit settings. With a Master’s from Rutgers and a diploma from George Brown, she’s passionate about solution-focused coaching and helping students navigate complex career questions. Sooin is committed to lifelong learning and equipping students for long-term success.

Wendy Szeto, Career Counsellor
Wendy brings experience from UTSC, Centennial College, and the non-profit sector. With a Master of Social Work, she approaches career counselling with heart and a commitment to student empowerment. Wendy helps students discover their strengths and confidently pursue their goals. In her free time, she volunteers for social causes and explores diverse cuisines on culinary adventures.

Peter Riccio, Career Readiness Specialist
Peter is passionate about empowering students and recent graduates through tailored guidance and continuous learning to be prepared for an exciting career journey. As the Career Readiness Specialist, he is honoured to provide career development support to students currently enrolled in the career readiness programs offered at the UTM Career Centre. Peter also builds relationships through outreach to alumni and industry partners to advocate the diversified program needs for students interests and networking opportunities.
Valentina Bravo, Career Readiness Coordinator
A UTM Alumna, Valentina has built experience in empowering students through different roles at the Career Centre, starting her journey here as a Career Assistant. Now, as the Career Readiness Coordinator, Valentina aims to provide the best tools to students enrolled in the Career Readiness Programs (CC100 and PILL) to propel their careers through experiential learning. She is the first person of contact for the PILL program. With experiences in the non-profit sector, research, and community work, she is determined to share with students the different ways to leverage their university experience to build a strong CV.
Outside of work, Valentina rock climbs and creates illustrations on nature and her own life experiences.
Keisha Appiah Kubi, OISE Masters in Counselling Practicum Student
As a Career Counsellor Intern at the University of Toronto Mississauga, Keisha supports students in exploring their career goals and building confidence in their next steps. She meets with students one-on-one to help them clarify their interests, identify their strengths, and create realistic plans for their academic and professional paths. Keisha has a warm approach, is supportive, and focused on helping students feel seen and capable. Her aim is to create a safe space where they can reflect, grow, and take practical steps toward meaningful careers.
Paula Nawrocki, OISE Masters in Counselling Practicum Student
Paula is a therapist intern currently completing her MEd in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She understands how overwhelming life transitions can be and how much pressure there is to have everything figured out. Paula works collaboratively with clients drawing on strengths-based and values-focused approaches to support their growth and well-being. Outside of her work, Paula enjoys reading, creative writing and experimenting in the kitchen.
Data & Assessment
The Data Analysis & Assessment Team supports the University of Toronto Mississauga Career Centre (UTM Career Centre) and its partners with data analysis, assessment, evaluation, and research. Our goal is to foster a culture of evidence building and data-informed decision making. Our approach is centered on high quality data, data literacy, collaborative partnerships, and continuous improvement. Our impact is visible as we equip students and recent graduates with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours to self-assess, explore career options, gain experience, express skills, pursue learning, reflect, and make informed career decisions.
Chrystal Colquhoun, Data and Assessment Analyst; Supervisor, Organizational Research Assistant Team
Data is the ink in our storytelling pens. At the UTM Career Centre, Chrystal leads the Data Analysis & Assessment team and mentors a group of organizational research assistants. She values high quality data storytelling to ensure that services meet the specific and evolving needs of students and recent graduates. Chrystal is a University of Toronto alumna and Ontario Institute for Studies in Education graduate student with 10+ years of industry experience. She is actively engaged in the Pursue Learning area of the UTM Career Centre’s model.

Jason John, Assistant Director, Employer Relations & Marketing
As the leader of the Employer Relations and Marketing team, my role is to connect employer partners with our diverse student body. The Employer Relations team develops creative solutions like career fairs and job shadow programs to help employers build their talent pipeline and brand on campus. Meanwhile, our marketing team ensures students are informed about all career development opportunities.

Jelena Vulic, Partner Relations for Career Exploration
Jelena Vulic is responsible for the design and management of the Career Centre's career exploration portfolio, which includes the Job Shadow Program and In the Field initiatives. Jelena supports students through the design and implementation of programming that supports their career exploration journey.

Jesse Li, Industry Engagement Specialist
As an Industry Engagement Specialist, Jesse works to build strong relationships with employers in multiple sectors to help bridge the gap between students and employers by creating opportunities for the two to connect. Through these relationships, he is able to help set up major networking and hiring events on campus for students to attend and see the in-demand roles and gain valuable up-to-date insights for their industry.

Shanzey engages employers across education, non-profit, and government sectors to connect with UTM students and recruit early talent. With over 6 years of experience in higher education, social services, and student affairs, Shanzey is a dedicated, collaborative professional committed to fostering an empowering and accessible student experience.

Ashvini Sriharan, Industry Engagement Specialist
As the Industry Engagement Specialist for the Skills Accelerator Program (SAP), Ashvini connects employers with early-year students through on-campus skill-building opportunities. She focuses on introducing new organizations to SAP, helping them understand its value, and encouraging their active participation. Ashvini also leads efforts to shape and promote the SAP brand through strategic marketing campaigns and outreach across multiple platforms. With a passion for collaboration and innovation, she works to build meaningful relationships that support student development and employer engagement. Her role bridges the gap between industry and education, creating impactful experiences that prepare students for the future of work.

Cyriac Vempala, Social Media and Digital Communications Specialist
Cyriac leads the Career Centre’s marketing team, developing strategic plans to promote services and events. He supervises student staff, creates engaging social media content, and ensures digital platforms are current and accessible. With a background in Design and experience across industries like Fashion and Finance, Cyriac brings a unique, creative perspective that enhances the Career Centre’s online presence and broadens its reach to support student engagement.

April Forbes, Career Outreach Consultant
April actively fosters partnership opportunities for the team by initiating proactive engagement with staff, faculty, and various academic departments throughout the university. Her aim is to discern how career services can best support students in navigating their academic and career paths, empowering them to explore options and gain clarity in their pursuits.
Maria Dumdumaya, Career Outreach Assistant
Maria works to support, build partnership and collaboration with the many student groups, clubs, and academic societies at UTM particularly in their areas of interest in the realm of career. If she’s not in her office, you will find her at tabling events or pop-ups around campus so don’t hesitate to introduce yourself or say hi!

Dino, Assisted Therapy Dog
Dino (pronounced dee-no) is a friendly, 5-year-old, mix-breed, rescue dog from Antigua. He is a licensed, Assisted Therapy Dog with Lifeline Canada and assist his owner, April, during outreach activities at the Career Centre. You will see him in the Hub and at tabling events so feel free to come say hello and pet him if you'd like. He's a great listener and his favourite things are afternoon naps and belly-rubs.

Resource Centre Unit
The RCU team works together on front-line services at the UTM Career Centre to help students with appointment booking and finding the right resource for their needs. They work with student staff who direct other students to materials they can use on their career journey.
Cherry Cai, Resource Centre Coordinator
Cherry oversees front-line services, supervising and training the Resource Centre Unit and student staff, and supporting the Career Centre overall. Cherry is dedicated to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment, ensuring that all students and visitors feel supported and respected. Cherry also helps drive improvements in service delivery with a student-centered approach.
Em Murdoch, Career Centre Assistant
Em has 4+ years of experience in post-secondary student services and non-profit organizations. She supports students with accessing up-to-date labour market information and career development resources. She has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology from McMaster University and completed her Career Development Practitioner Post-Graduate Certificate at George Brown College. In her spare time, Em enjoys puzzles, kayaking, and engaging in film analysis.
Farah Noori, Career Services Representative
Farah provides front-line service support to UTM students. Specifically, sharing helpful information on the resources and services offered by the UTM Career Centre that would best suit individual student needs and supports their diverse career development journeys. Her goal is to create a welcoming, inclusive and safe space where students feel comfortable seeking support. Additionally, Farah completes office administrative tasks such as (but not limited to) booking/rescheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and more!
TechLearn
Our technologically advanced staff members are dedicated to finding innovative solutions to any technical challenges we may have. They are always ready to assist with any issues, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Beyond their technical expertise, our team also captures memorable moments at all our events.
José G. Chacón, Business and Operations Coordinator
José supports students, faculty and staff with the Work Study Program and the UTM community with the CLNx system. Furthermore, he supports the UTM Career Centre team with finance and accounting duties, and ensures the department follows and complies with University policies and procedures outlined in the Guide to Financial Management (GTFM). Moreover, the UTM Career Centre team receives José’s support with behind-the-scenes tech and admin support.
Sevvie Acar-Hammudeh, eLearning Specialist
Sevvie is an eLearning Specialist at the UTM Career Centre, designing inclusive, engaging online learning using universal design and adult learning principles. With a background in education, instructional design, and employment consultancy, she integrates pedagogy and technology. She holds an MBA in Educational Management and a 2020–2021 Governor General’s Award. Sevvie has taught and presented internationally on educational technology. Her interests include hygge, the arts, travel, and mindful self-compassion.
Miguel DaSilva, Technical Support Assistant
Miguel supports general inquiries and issues with CLNx from students, staff, and faculty. His role works with the Career Centre and other SAS departments in using CLNx to create and administer appointments and events on CLNx. Miguel also lead Records Management at the Career Centre. You'll also find him taking student LinkedIn photos and carrying a camera around our many events offered to students.
