Highlights from Past Partnerships & Events

In Class Workshop In Session with Career Centre Staff

I had the privilege of partnering with the Career Centre as part of ICCIT’s Professional Development Series. Their team delivered thoughtfully designed workshops, including an adapted Myers-Briggs session and comprehensive LinkedIn training, all of which resonated strongly with our students...

...When I introduced the Interview Bootcamp, the Career Centre provided exceptional support. Their staff participated as interviewers alongside external professionals, creating realistic and high impact interview scenarios. This format gave students both substantive feedback and valuable practice, significantly boosting their confidence and preparedness for real-world job interviews. I truly appreciated the Career Centre’s collaborative approach and their commitment to supporting meaningful, experiential learning opportunities. It was a rewarding partnership—one I look forward to continuing."

Students enjoying socializing during an in-class visit

When Dino came to my class, my first year students began by asking “what kind of dog is he?” which quickly led to “How do you overcome imposter syndrome?” Dino and April have done a great job as career ambassadors, engaging students and starting the conversation about career development

Guoria Sun, TA, CHM110/CHM120

The Career Centre has been an important partner to the Internship in History course. Staff have provided students with valuable advice about researching the labour market, crafting a professional resume, and practicing for job interviews. These contributions have helped the course prepare students not only for their internship placements, but also for employment after graduation.
