Transfer students with eligible credits
Students with transfer credits for MAT135H5 and MAT136H5 or acceptable equivalent, MGM101H5, MGM102H5, MGT120H5, and/or ECO101H5 and ECO102H5 should consult with the Commerce and Management Academic Advisors if applying to a Commerce or Management Subject POSt. You can book an appointment online by clicking here.
Students with equivalent transfer credit(s) for MAT135H5 and MAT136H5 or acceptable equivalent, MGM101H5, MGM102H5, MGT120H5, and/or ECO101H5 and ECO102H5 who wish to apply to the Commerce or Management Subject POSt will be assigned the following grades for their approved transfer credit. These grades will be used to assess your application to a Commerce or Management Subject POSt (for transfer credits only).
MGM101H5 and / or MGM102H5 | 63% |
MGT120H5 | 63% |
ECO101H5 | 63% |
ECO102H5 | 63% |
MAT135H5 | 60% |
MAT136H5 | 60% |
MAT133Y5 | 63% |
*The grade earned at the host institution where the original course was taken will not be considered. The grades noted above will be used to determine a student’s weighted average.
Transfer credits that have been deemed as exclusions to prerequisite courses cannot be used to satisfy admission requirements. For example, MAT1**Y5 with exclusion to MAT133Y5) cannot be used for Subject POSt consideration. You must register in the UofT version of the course.
Students can opt to repeat the course (or equivalent credit) at UofT and the UofT grade will be used in the weighted average, instead of the transfer credit. If a student opts to complete the UofT course (or equivalent credit), the student has forfeited the opportunity to use their transfer credit for their weighted average for program admission to Management/Commerce.
For example, a student that received a transfer credit for MAT133Y5 but completed MAT135H5 and MAT136H5 at UofT will have the UofT course combination used for their weighted average for program admission. Students should refer to the Commerce or Management program pages on the UTM Academic Calendar for a list of acceptable equivalents for application to Commerce or Management POSt.
Please ensure transfer credits are updated on ACORN. The Transfer Credit Office must confirm assessment decisions.
