Lindsay Smith (Maternity Leave)

What do you do?
As the Special Event Coordinator, I am part of a team that helps to plan internal and external events on campus. Our team strives to turn our client’s vision into a reality.

What is your favorite thing about UTM?
UTM has such a beautiful campus! Walking from building to building outside along the trails is a nice escape from the business of the surrounding area. Everyone is also so friendly here and are willing to help if you get turned around.

What is the part of your role at UTM that you like the most?
Every day is different and brings new and exciting challenges. I like having the opportunity to meet and interact with new people.

What do you like doing outside of work?
Spending time with my family and friends, especially going on hikes and walking trails around the city. I will also never turn down a chance to try out a new bakery.

What is your favorite food?
I love food way too much to choose just one dish, but I do always enjoy an Italian pasta feast or ordering Greek food.

FUN FACT
The university I graduated from, Royal Roads, has a castle on the property. Movies like Deadpool and X-Men were filmed there.
