2023 American Astronomical Society's Annie Jump Cannon Award Winner

We are pleased to announce that Marta Bryan is the recipient of the 2023 American Astronomical Society's Annie Jump Cannon Award.

This prestigious award is given annually to a female postdoctoral researcher within five years of receiving their PhD for outstanding research. Marta was awarded for her “leadership in observational studies of gas-giant exoplanet formation, evolution, and impact on planetary systems.”

Recipient of 2022 John Charles Polanyi Prize in Chemistry

We are pleased to announce that Alana Ogata has been awarded the 2022 John Charles Polanyi Prize in Chemistry.

In honour of John Polanyi, a University Professor Emeritus in the department of chemistry and recipient of the 1986 Nobel Prize, the Ontario Council of Universities grants this prestigious award to five outstanding researchers in the early stages of their career each year. This year, all five prizes were awarded to faculty from U of T.
