Marc Laflamme

Congratulations to Professor Marc Laflamme for his Promotion to Rank of Professor

A message from Prof. Lindsay Schoenbohm, Chair of CPS:

I am so pleased to announce that Marc Laflamme has been promoted to the rank of Professor. This is richly deserved. Marc is a leader in his research field, asking questions about how the earliest complex life on this planet functioned and was preserved. He has an outstanding publication record in top journals (Nature family, PNAS, Geology, ESR), and has been recognized by his community with a long list of editorships, service on professional committees, invited talks, and awards, including the Pikaia Award for recognition of his contributions to Canadian paleontology. He's also an incredibly talented educator - we are all familiar with his championing of CPS489, and there's that little matter of his UTM Teaching Excellence Award. He's also a dedicated mentor to a wonderful and talented group of graduate and undergraduate students. Please join me in congratulating Marc on his well-deserved promotion.

Congratulations Professor Laflamme!
