Professor Judith Poe is the recipient of the 2014 Canadian Society for Chemistry Faculty Advisor Award.  This award is presented to a faculty advisor from a chemistry department who has demonstrated exceptional performance working with students. This award is a Student Chapter nominated award.

Bigger really is better – at least it was for early prehistoric life. A NASA research group featuring University of Toronto Mississauga Professor Marc Laflamme has helped to explain why some prehistoric organisms evolved into larger animals. See full story here.
