E.A. Robinson Science Education Lectureship

E.A. Robinson Science Education Lectureship hosted by Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences

The mission of the E. A. Robinson Science Education Lectureship is to advance knowledge and disseminate information on the latest developments and initiatives in science education. This annual lecture series includes public events that cover current topics and bring leading scholars to UTM. Alumni, members of the Mississauga community, students, faculty and staff are all invited to attend and engage in thought provoking discussions.

This lectureship fund has been most generously supported by a donation from former UTM Principal and Dean, Professor Emeritus E. A. (Peter) Robinson, a respected chemist, researcher and teacher.  Professor Robinson was a founding member of UTM and a true champion of the campus. Born in England, he graduated from University College, London and came to the University of Toronto in 1961. His visionary leadership had a great impact on the development of the UTM campus. Throughout his time as an academic administrator he continued to participate in undergraduate teaching, making students and teaching a priority and leading by example. And so it is in recognition of this that the Department of Chemical and Physical Sciences has named the lectureship in his honour.
