Management Specialist and Major

University of Toronto Mississauga Management (UTMM) Management Programs prepare students to become effective members of organizations. Drawing on a balanced offering of rigorous intellectual frameworks from the social sciences, these programs cover the nature and inner workings of organizations, and managerial functions. These programs provide students with a good understanding of the major aspects of management and helps students acquire an integrated set of management skills.

Management Specialist (BBA) - ERSPE2431 

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Management Specialist is a four-year program which leads to a BBA degree. It provides a good grounding in the basic disciplines of Management and allows you to add topics that interest you. Future employers can be confident in your deep understanding and application of knowledge to complex management situations, and in your awareness of contemporary issues in business.

The Program starts with foundation courses in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, and Organizational Behaviour followed by a range of more advanced courses that cover topics from different business-related disciplines.

Human Resource Management Specialist (BBA) - ERSPE1882

The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Human Resource Specialist is a four-year program which leads to a BBA degree. The Human Resource Management (HRM) Specialist provides students with a good grounding in various management disciplines and a specialized education in HRM. It is designed to equip students with comprehensive knowledge and a skillset necessary for leading organizations effectively.  With courses approved by the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA), this Specialist will allow students to complete the prerequisite studies for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

Who should enroll in this Program?

Students who are considering obtaining their CHRP designation through HRPA should enroll in this Program in addition to students interested in pursuing a career in HRM.

The Program starts with foundation courses in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, and Organizational Behaviour followed by a range of more advanced courses that cover topics in the professional curricula.

External Recognition

This Specialist will allow students to complete the prerequisite studies for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

The Management Major is a two-track program that combines the study of organizations and their management with the study of a second major discipline of the student’s choice. The Management Major allows students to build knowledge and skills in business management.
