Future Directions

The Department of Language Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga underwent an external review in February 2024 as part of the University of Toronto Quality Assurance Process (UTQAP), where academic programs are evaluated on a cyclical basis. As noted in the document, "reviews provide the opportunity to celebrate successes, identify areas where we can do better and vigorously pursue improvements".

Recommendations from the reviewers, as well as the Department's timeline for implementing changes based on these recommendations, are captured in the Final Assessment Report and Implementation Plan (FAR/IP), with the support of the Office of the Vice-Principal Academic & Dean of the University of Toronto Mississauga.

The Department of Language Studies is grateful for the insightful comments from the reviewers, and the Department has already begun the process of addressing the recommendations noted in the report. We look forward to the ways that our department and programs will develop to even better meet the needs of our students.
