The DLS Spring Graduate Symposium will take place on Monday, February 2nd, from 3-5 PM in CDRS (MN 3230).

We have an excellent mix of presenters who showcase the breadth of our department. They are:

1. Andres Giudice Grillo (Italian & Spanish), Variation and Change in the Pronunciation of Consonants in Peruvian Spanish

2. Jasmine Rice (CTL, OISE), "It's Like Seeing the World Through My Ancestors Eyes": Aligning Language Ideologies and Kanien'ké:ka (Mohawk) Language Pedagogies for Urban Adult Learners

3. Evelia Raphael (French), A Postcolonial Land Ethic: The Preservation of Indigenous Toponyms as an Ecological Act

You are warmly invited to attend the Department of Language Studies (DLS) Winter Meet & Greet on Friday, February 6th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM in CDRS (MN 3230).

This event is a great opportunity to learn more about the Department of Language Studies, our programs, and the many academic pathways available to you. The session will begin with brief introductions to our programs, resources, societies and clubs, followed by an informal networking opportunity where you can connect with faculty, staff, and fellow students. Food and refreshments will be provided.
