UTM's 9th Annual Celebration of Books
UTM's 9th Annual Celebration of Books took place on Oct 26th, 2023. This event saw the campus' authors and editors gather to speak about their recent publications. Co-hosted by the Office of the Vice-Principal, Research and UTM Library, the event featured 21 new books from 13 departments. This included several books published by ICCIT faculty and graduate students:
- Sarah Sharma is co-editor and author of Re-Understanding Media: Feminist Extensions of Marshall McLuhan (2022), which also features writing by Jeremy Packer.
- Jeremy Packer, Paula Nuñez de Villavicencio, and Kate Maddalena are three of the six co-authors of The Prison House of the Circuit: Politics of Control from Analog to Digital (2022).
- Rhonda McEwen is co-editor of and author in The SAGE Handbook of Human-Machine Communication (2023), which includes writing by Jeremy Packer, Kate Maddalena, and Beth Coleman.
