Student Spotlight: Kaitlyn Harris Winner of the University of Toronto Student Leadership Award

The Department of English & Drama is delighted to recognize Kaitlyn Harris as the  2023 University of Toronto Student Leadership Award for her outstanding student leadership, service and commitment to the university, as well as her significant impact on the University of Toronto and on the university experience of their peers.

I’ve found such an important sense of community within the UTM English & Drama Department. The many opportunities for scholarly engagement, creative expression, and professional development have helped me to discover my voice as a student leader. From conversing with professors to publishing undergraduate journals, the people and experiences that make up this department have been truly transformative. I’m so happy to have contributed to the network of writers on our campus, and I’m excited to continue sharing my love of language as I pursue graduate studies at UofT.
