Cancellations & Refunds

Important Information

  • Please find here the Permit Cancellation Form 
  • Payroll deductions will not be stopped, or refunds authorized, until the permit has been received by the Parking & Transportation Services’ office and a Cancellation Form completed
  • Refunds for cancelled permits will be made in accordance with the refund schedule below
    • It is the permit holder's responsibility to return a permit for refund by the stated dates in order to receive the stated refund amount
      *No exceptions will be made*
  • Refunds must go back to the same method of payment used to make the original purchase
    • If the original purchase was by credit card, the refund must go back to the same card
      • If this is not possible, the refund will be issued by way of university cheque which may be subject to a processing delay
  • A telephone call or an e-mail is not an acceptable method of cancellation
  • Please note that if you are reapplying for a permit after canceling, you are not guaranteed availability in your desired area
    • Pro-rated refunds will be processed if a permit is received by the Parking & Transportation Services' office within the first five (5) business days of each month; however, no refunds will be issued for Annual Permit cancellations made after March 7, 2022
  • Student Sessional permits may be cancelled within the first (5) five business days of any month for which it is valid
     

Student annual and sessional permit cancellations are subject to a $25.00 administrative fee (included in rates below)

Sheridan College Student Permit Refund Schedule

  • If cancelling a Sheridan permit on its own, the cancellation fee applies to the refund amount
  • If cancelling a Sheridan permit in addition to a UTM permit (together), no additional cancellation fee is applied to the Sheridan refund amount (only to the UTM permit refund amount)
