MGT 480 Internship Course

Course Overview

The primary purpose of this course is to provide students with an opportunity to apply, in a practical setting, the management experience they have gained through previous course work. This is accomplished through work placements, or "internships."
The internship provides students with a valuable opportunity to make personal contacts in the public or private sector. The course is also intended to help students to bridge the gap between graduation and full-time employment. Therefore, attention is paid to helping students acquire practical skills that will serve them well in their job search and eventually, in the workplace.
The final written submission and oral presentation contribute to the development of communication skills. Please note, MGT480H5S is only available to upper year B.Com, BBA and Management major students who meet prerequisites.
  1. Sign up for the course on ROSI but don't forget to sign up for another course in case you don't get in. (Students must be registered for the course or on the waitlist by the end of August).
  2. Participate in the mandatory orientation. Participation at this session is MANDATORY for ALL potential students, both registered and on the wait list. Students who do not participate will be ineligible for the course.
  3. Complete the MGT 480 Internship application (Link to the application will be distributed at the mandatory orientation).
