Congratulations to Beth Coleman and Bree McEwan, who were recently promoted to the role of full professor at the ICCIT.

Beth Coleman’s research focuses on artificial intelligence and smart technology; urban data and civic engagement; and transmedia arts. She is the author of Hello Avatar (on virtual worlds and being) and Reality Was Whatever Happened (on AI and black computing). Coleman was the Founding Director of the Black Research Network and is currently a Research Lead at the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society.

Bree McEwan's research focuses on the intersection between interpersonal communication and communication technology. Her book, Navigating New Media Networks, explores how communication technology (in particular, social media) facilitates interpersonal communication processes and relationships. She is currently the Associate Director, UTM of the Data Sciences Institute and a Faculty Affiliate of the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society.
