Sustainability Ambassador Program

Streams

The program is split into three main streams that students can be a part of during the school year: Waste Education & Engagement, Sustainable Events & Programming, and Outreach & Communications.

Students can choose which stream they would like to focus on for the year but are encouraged to volunteer their time in all three streams to gain a wide range of sustainable knowledge and experiences.

StreamResponsibilities include:
Waste Education & Engagement
  • Facilitate waste patrolling and tabling sessions beside hallway bins
  • Lead classroom talks and presentations 
  • Collaborate with campus groups and clubs to organize fun waste-related workshops and events
  • Attend and participate in bi-weekly and monthly team meetings 
  • Commit 40-60 hours for the school year 
Sustainable Events & Programming
  • Lead and facilitate major events and conferences (STTPA, Sustainability Week, etc.) 
  • Collaborate with on-campus clubs and partners to organize sustainable events 
  • Engage with students and professors on sustainable topics through in-class workshops and presentations
  • Attend and participate in bi-weekly and monthly team meetings 
  • Commit 40-60 hours for the school year
Outreach & Communications
  • Create compelling visuals for social media (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) 
  • Capture event content and produce engaging videos 
  • Maintain active social presence
  • Attend and participate in bi-weekly and monthly team meetings 
  • Commit 40-60 hours for the school year
