Work-Study Information for Students
U of T's Work-Study Program provides students with the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and experience through paid work on campus. Work-Study positions are for full-time or part-time graduate and undergraduate students (domestic or international). Positions are available in the Fall/Winter Term (September-February) and the Spring/Summer Term (May-August). All positions are CCR Eligible. Hard copies of previous Work-Study jobs are available for students to view at the UTM Career Centre.
2017 Summer Work-Study Dates
Job posting visibility: Students can view and apply to jobs between April 17 - May 19, 2017*
*Note: All postings will automatically expire from CLN on May 19, 2017.
Hiring period: May 8, 2017 - May 31, 2017
Program period: sudents can work between May 8, 2017 - August 14, 2017
Program Eligibility (2016-2017 Fall/Winter)
- Students must be registered in at least 2.0 credit continuously from September 2016 to April 2017 (at least 40% for graduate students), and 1 credit continuously from May - August 2017.
- If you are registered in Toronto School of Theology programs, you are not eligible for Work-Study positions.
- Students do not need to be OSAP eligible to apply for Work-Study.
- Students are permitted to accept ONE Work-Study position per program period.

Students can view and apply to work-study postings on CLN starting August 1st, and all positings will be removed by September 23rd. Please ensure you check the application deadline for each position, as each employer may select a different deadline date.

Hours and Rate of Pay
Work-Study employees are paid bi-weekly (except for those who have been previously set up with a monthly payroll schedule) at a pay rate of $11.40 per hour equal to the minimum wage plus 4% vacation pay. The maximum hours of work are 12 hours per week and 180 hours for the Fall/Winter term (90 hours for Summer term).
