The Residence Services Desk, located in Oscar Peterson Hall, is the primary source for all housing inquiries. The student staff are highly trained and knowledgeable to answer all Residence-related questions, including maintenance and caretaking concerns, as well as questions regarding programs and services offered by Residence Life.

Keys and Lockouts
Key cards are issued on check-in day to the resident alone. Secure and responsible use of the assigned keys rests with the resident, and as such, keys must not be redistributed or loaned to other residents or guests. Misuse, reallocation or redistribution of keys is subject to disciplinary action. If the resident loses their room key, they are subject to a $10 charge (to be added to ACORN/ROSI). Please note that if you are in McLuhan Court, Leacock Lane, or MaGrath Valley, your room key is a hard key and is subject to a $200 charge (to be added to ACORN/ROSI).
If you lock yourself out of your room, you need to go to the Residence Services Desk. If you are locked out outside of Residence Services Desk office hours, contact the Don-on-Duty for your area or contact Campus Safety at 905-828-5200. The charge for lock outs is $10 and will be added to ACORN/ROSI for payment.
Resource Rentals
The Residence Services Desk has resources/items you can rent while you live in residence! All rentals require you to leave your TCard or photo ID with the desk until you return the item. See below our full chart and stop by the Residence Services Desk today!
All rentals are for 2 hours. Late returns are subject to a $25 fee per hour. Resources late for over 4+ hours will incur a $100 fee. Rentals are not available within 2 hours of the desk closing.

Residence Music Room
Want to practice piano on our residence piano, or can’t find somewhere to set up your drum set? Rent the Music Room key for up to 2 hours! You are welcome to use the piano provided or bring your own instrument. Open only to residence students. Music room is located in the New Residence Building.
