The Experiential Education Unit (EEU) in the Office of the Vice‐Principal Academic and Dean is pleased to offer the Ulrich J. Krull Research Excellence Award to students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in the Research Opportunity Program (ROP). The EEU will distribute up to three awards to full, or part‐time, upper‐year students (third year or higher) who have completed a 300‐ or 400‐ level ROP course between May 1, 2025, and April 30, 2026. The award is based on academic merit and there is an attached monetary value.
Faculty who supervised a 300-level or 400-level ROP course in the Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Fall/Winter 2025-26 (Y course), or Winter 2026 academic terms may nominate one student for the award by completing the Ulrich J. Krull Research Excellence Award 2026 Nomination Form no later than Friday, March 27, 2026.
Nominations will be reviewed based on the following criteria: independence, intellectual/professional growth, contribution to the field, research methods/outcomes, and overall performance of the student.
Please note that students cannot receive both the Dean’s Award for Research Excellence and the Ulrich J. Krull Research Excellence Award in the same year. Award recipients will be notified prior to graduation award ceremonies.
