SPECIALIST IN APPLIED STATISTICS
The Applied Statistics Specialist Program at the University of Toronto Mississauga provides students with a solid foundation in the fundamental aspects of probability and introduces students to a broad range of applied statistics methodologies. The Specialist program is designed for students intending to follow a career as a statistician, either immediately after graduation or after further post-graduate study.
MAJOR AND MINOR IN APPLIED STATISTICS
The Major and Minor Programs in Applied Statistics consist largely of STA courses, and may be combined with programs in other subjects.
SUBJECT POSt (Program) ENROLMENT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The Applied Statistics minor is a Type 1 or "open enrolment" program with no entry requirements. The Applied Statistics Specialist and Major are both Type 2 programs. For more information on program types, see the Program Selection Guide on the Office of the Registrar website.
The Academic Calendar lists all the entry requirements for the Applied Statistics Specialist and Major, except for the CGPA. The required minimum CGPA for both the Statistics Specialist and Major programs was 2.4 for 2021 program entry. Check back on this website no earlier than March 2022 to learn what the minimum required CGPA will be for 2022 program entry.
