My Research Interests
My research focuses on individuals’ exposure to air contaminants in the urban environment. Research outputs cross between the social and natural sciences, leveraging and advancing spatial analysis; while helping to understand social science problems, such as examining the relationship of human behaviour and the built environment on exposure. We are currently emphasizing children’s exposure and air pollution conditions at the school, space-time modelling, and urban pollution effects of disruptive and sustainable transportation.
I participate in the following research clusters:
Graduate Student Recruitment
I am accepting qualified MSc and Ph.D. students with interests in the spatial analysis of air pollution exposure and environmental pollution modelling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GIS, spatial analysis, and statistics. As well, experience with programming (R and Python) or a willingness to learn.
Students will work in my research lab at the University of Toronto Mississauga Campus. Check out more information about our research on my website and twitter feed.
