Research Interests
My research focuses on reconstructing the impacts of anthropogenic disturbances on ecosystems using natural archives. Under the supervision of Dr. Igor Lehnherr, I investigate historical mercury (Hg) dynamics following wildfire disturbance using tree rings as environmental archives. I also study the long-term legacy of smelter emissions by reconstructing technological critical elements (TCEs) contamination in lake sediment records from the Rouyn-Noranda region associated with the Horne smelter.
