How to Prepare the Day Before the Shoot:
- Do your research on your industry: How do your industry professionals present themselves on LinkedIn?
- Get clear on your brand and presence: How do you want other professionals to perceive you? When in doubt, always go for friendly and approachable.
- Choose your attire: Be as professional as you can be and choose outfits which bring your confidence!
Choose clean, solid colour clothing which is minimally distracting (not too many patterns or bright and reflective colours). We also suggest wearing layers such as a professional top and a cardigan or blazer. This way you can take a photo with and without the blazer for added options! - Makeup and Hair: Keep it simple and clean! It is important to remain recognizable. Pack a comb or hairbrush for any day-of touch ups.
The Day-Of the Shoot - What to Expect:
STEP 1:
Depending on the photoshoot set up, you may receive a text message from a Career Centre Staff Member notifying you to start heading to the Photoshoot Location. When you arrive at the photoshoot location, find the registration desk to check-in with a Career Centre staff member. Instructions will be provided on the CLNx Event Listing.
STEP 2:
Once checked-in, you will also receive an Identification Board which you will provide to the photographer. Feel free to also use the available mirrors for a final touch up before heading over to the backdrop.
STEP 3:
Stand on the "X" placed on the floor. The photographer will brief you on the various poses. If you have any poses you would like to try, please inform the photographer. Please be mindful of other students who may be waiting in line for their turn. We allot 5 to 7 minutes for each student.
STEP 4:
Once you have completed the shoot, please make sure to scan the QR code to provide feedback on the experience!
