Workshop 1: How AI Works & Why it Matters

Thursday, October 2 @ 11am in the RGASC (MN3251)

This workshop explores the fundamentals of generative AI, including how it works, what it can and can’t do, and why it matters in higher education and beyond. There will be opportunities for active learning through predicting AI outputs and evaluating AI capabilities.

Workshop 2: Navigating AI & Integrity

This workshop explores the ethical dimensions of using AI in academic settings—from knowledge building practices to understanding individual course policies and university guidelines. There will be opportunities for active learning through debating about AI use case scenarios.

Workshop 3: AI as Study Partner

Wednesday, January 28 @ 11am in the RGASC (MN3251)

This workshop explores how to use generative AI tools effectively to support—not replace—our learning. In a hands-on “Prompt Lab,” participants will experiment with refining prompts and consider human learning in terms of an AI capability spectrum.
