Bio: Steven Logan is a Sessional Lecturer in DVS and the Institute for Communication, Culture, Information and Technology (ICCIT). His current research and teaching focus is on pedagogy and futurism, and the history of technological optimism/pessimism, read in part through the work of Alvin Toffler. He is the author most recently of “Time out of Place: Data Centres across the GTA” in Peripheral Centralities: Instances of Anticipatory Urbanism. He is also the author of In the Suburbs of History: Modernist Visions of the Urban Periphery (U of T Press, 2021) and the former editor of Carbusters Magazine.
