Jillian Booth

After graduating from Queen’s University Fine Art Department, Jillian Booth followed up on a scholarship to continue printmaking at Open Studio in Toronto. Her first job as a Printmaking Technician was at the Glasgow School of Art when she was living in Scotland and England during the 1990s. Jillian received an MA in Printmaking from Camberwell College of Arts (The London Institute, London, England) and shortly afterwards she returned to Canada as a technician at Queen’s University between 1999 and 2001.

Since 2004, Jillian has been at Sheridan and continues to make prints exploring all manner of print media. Her imagery is processed by combining different techniques. Etchings are printed on top of digital images, silkscreens on fabric have been embroidered into and drawings are made onto printed paper. Jillian has exhibited work in Britain and Canada and is also a member of Open Studio with work that can be seen in their sales program. To view some of her work, you can visit www.jillianbooth.com.
