Liam Haas-Neill, a former PhD candidate in the Rauscher Lab, successfully defended his PhD and graduated this past June.

Liam's PhD research focused on molecular dynamics simulations of proteins, with an emphasis on understanding their structural dynamics and function at the atomic level. He developed and applied computational methods to study protein motion, folding, and interactions, aiming to uncover mechanisms relevant to biological activity and drug discovery. Specifically, he focused on understanding how mutations to the amino acid sequence of certain proteins leads to changes in protein function. The results of his research provided insight into potential avenues for therapeutics in cancer and HIV.

Congratulations, Dr. Haas-Neill and to all CPS graduates - we wish you all the very best in your future endeavours!
