FSG Privacy Policy

The University of Toronto respects your privacy. Personal information that you provide to the University is collected pursuant to section 2(14) of the University of Toronto Act, 1971. It is collected for the purpose of administering admissions, registration, academic programs, university-related student activities, activities of student societies, financial assistance and awards, graduation and university advancement, and for the purpose of statistical reporting to government agencies.

  • Your attendance information for these study groups is being collected strictly for educational purposes — the only goal of the facilitated study groups is to improve the level of learning and teaching in your course.
  • At all times your attendance information will be protected in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
  • Your attendance in the study groups will never be disclosed to the course instructor, and at no time will your personal information ever be disclosed.
  • In addition, any records of personal information generated through the study groups will be destroyed at the end of the course.
  • You can always attend the study groups without signing in if you wish — like any other study group activity, your consent to have your T-card scanned or your student number collected is completely voluntary.
  • Only an aggregate result will be generated from the course performance of all study group participants as a whole, and this aggregate result will only be used to measure the impact of the study groups on the course, and to report on this aggregate performance in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning in your course.
