Their journey in education began with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, followed by a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and a Master in Global Management in Tulane University, USA. Fascinated by the intersection of business and sustainability, Carlos is now pursuing a Master's in Sustainability Management at the University of Toronto.
Throughout their academic and personal journey, Carlos has developed a keen interest in finding innovative solutions that strike a balance between economic growth and environmental preservation. With a rich professional background, Carlos has gained valuable experience in the energy sector, particularly in business development and strategy. he has spearheaded initiatives aimed at integrating sustainability principles into commercial operations, such as the establishment of a US subsidiary dedicated to the trading of low/no carbon emission fuels, petrochemicals and carbon compensated fuel cargos.
