Bio

Lindsay graduated from McGill University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in marketing and international business. She has been working in the retail industry for 9 years in a variety of merchandising roles in sectors including grocery, electronics, fashion and most recently home improvement. She has been involved in municipal politics as a citizen for many years and from 2019 to 2022 served as a member of a multi-stakeholder task force designing the vision and development parameters for a large housing project, where she championed sustainable solutions. In 2020, she joined the Climate Reality Project’s leadership corps with the mission of educating others on the climate crisis to improve awareness and inspire action. Lindsay strongly believes in the intersectionality of social, economic, and environmental issues and that they permeate all facets of society. Having seen many of these issues firsthand in both her professional and volunteer experiences has led her to want to refocus her attention by taking a more active and influential role in advocating for change in industry and government policy. She is interested in further exploring how the sustainability of merchandising practices in the retail industry can be addressed and the role of cities in achieving local and global sustainability goals.

Lindsay grew up in a trilingual environment involving English, German and French in Montreal, Quebec. She is always eager to learn new things and in addition to sustainability, has a keen interest in politics, economics, social issues, and history. Lindsay is a soccer fan, avid gardener, and enjoys travelling.
