Staff Award for Community & Partnership Development

Overview 

The ISUP Staff Award for Community & Partnership Development recognizes staff who have demonstrated outstanding initiative and leadership toward promoting and enhancing partnerships and collaboration between ISUP and units or Departments from the broader university community. 

Eligibility 

All staff with a minimum of one year of service at ISUP and who are currently employed at ISUP at the time of the award presentation are eligible for this award. 

Selection Criteria  

Nominees for this award will be evaluated according to the following criteria: 

  • Promoted, strengthened, or initiated collaborations between RGASC/ISUP and other units and departments.  
  • Displayed commitment to community building in either the UTM or broader University of Toronto community. 
  • Strengthened ISUP’s position and visibility at UTM by fostering relationships and collaborations with other units and departments. 

Nomination Process 

A nomination package must be submitted via this nomination form before February 2ndof the current academic year to qualify for this award.  

The nomination package must include the following: 

  • A detailed nomination, maximum 2 pages in length (1000 words), from a staff or faculty member in ISUP or a unit / Department with whom ISUP is partnering specifying how the nominee meets the criteria for the award. 
  • A letter of endorsement (maximum 1 page in length) from the nominee’s direct supervisor if the nominator is not the nominee’s direct supervisor.  
  • A letter of support from one additional person who is not the nominee's direct supervisor, but is familiar with the applicant’s qualification, no longer than 2 pages (1000 words). 

The ISUP Awards Committee will determine the recipient, based on the criteria outlined, and announce the winner before April 30th of the current academic year.
