Supporting Success - ISP010: Basics of Writing in English (BoWiE)

BoWiE is designed to provide extra support to students who are developing their academic writing skills. In the first week of ISP100, students will complete the Writing Check-In, an assessment of students’ writing skills. The results of the Writing Check-In will help identify those students who would benefit from participating in ISP010: Basics of Writing in English prior to ISP100.

Any student who does not successfully pass the Writing Check-In should unenroll from ISP100 and enroll ISP010. Once a student has successfully completed ISP010, they should re-enroll in ISP100 in a subsequent term. Any student who has successfully completed ISP010 (from September 2021 onwards) is automatically eligible to remain enrolled in ISP100.
