The University of Toronto has proudly partnered with the Mastercard Foundation to develop Africa's next generation of healthcare leaders. As part of this initiative, the Institute for Management & Innovation’s (IMI) Executive Programs unit, IMIx, is offering a 9-month online Certificate of Effective Healthcare Management to enhance the management knowledge and leadership capabilities of managers working in the healthcare sector in Africa.
IMIx Certificate of Effective Healthcare Management
The Mastercard Foundation is offering scholarship funding to learners through select partner institutions in Africa to participate in this innovative programming opportunity. The Certificate of Effective Healthcare Management will be delivered online via Zoom in the evening one night per week to students residing in Africa.
Who is this program for?
The program will be offered from Toronto to a cohort of up to 50 aspiring managers, mid-level managers and/or practitioners who are working in the healthcare industry and are alumni of, or currently working in, a healthcare organization (i.e., hospital, government health agency, or health unit/clinic). Priority will be given to applicants who are affiliated with one or more of the following African Higher Education Health Collaborative partner universities and collaborating institutions:
- Addis Ababa University
- African Institute for Mathematical Sciences
- African Leadership University
- Amref Health/Amref International University
- Ashesi University
- Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
- Moi University
- University of Cape Town
- Equity Group Foundation
