Application Process

The next offering of this program begins in the Fall of 2024.  Please complete the form below so we can inform you when we begin to accept applications for the next offering.


Applications are reviewed in the order that they are received so an early application maximizes the chances of securing a seat in the program. Please note that acceptance into this program is highly competitive. The selection of participants is based on a thorough evaluation of all application components listed below. This evaluation ensures that participants have the necessary understanding and capabilities to successfully complete the program, as demonstrated through a comprehensive project or examination at the program's conclusion.

Application Requirements

When we begin accepting application for 2024, applicants will be required to upload the following documents and a video (prepared in advance) at the time of applying.  

  1. Letter of Recommendation from a supervisor or senior officer.
  2. Letter of Intent, one page long,  highlighting reasons for applying, professional ambitions, and an explanation for how this program will help them to achieve these goals. 
  3. Resume 
  4. 2-minute video explaining why they would be a good candidate for the program. 

Applicants must possess an undergraduate degree and will be asked to provide a copy prior to the start of the program, if accepted. This is not required as part of the application package. 

PLEASE NOTE: A virtual interview may be required.  Applicants will be informed by email if this is the case so a time and date can be decided.

This program is brought to you by the University of Toronto in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. The selected participants will receive a full scholarship that covers all tuition costs associated with participating in this program.

Program Acceptance

Applicants will be informed about the status of their application via email.

Assessment and Certification

Upon conclusion of ALL segments of the program (90% attendance is required), all participants will need to complete a final assignment or project or examination that will be assessed as pass/fail. Upon successful completion of the program, each participant will be eligible for a Certificate of Completion.
