OSAP funding for micro-credentials
The Ontario Student Assistance Program has recently began to offer funding for micro-credentials, including some programs offered by IMIx Executive Programs. This new resource is part of Ontario’s micro-credentials strategy, helping learners access more opportunities to train or upskill for in-demand jobs through loans and grants. This micro-credential benefit refers specifically to short, professional development programs like those offered through IMIx.

Eligible Programs
The following certificate programs that we offer are eligible for OSAP Micro-Credentials funding:
After selecting a short IMIx certificate program and confirming its OSAP eligibility, you must register on and pay the program fees in full upfront at the time of enrollment. Participants can expect the OSAP funds as a reimbursement so must be registered in an OSAP-approved micro-credential program before funding can be issued.
Once you have registered, Log-in to your OSAP account to apply for funding for micro-credentials.
After submitting your application, you will receive a message in your OSAP account with instructions to complete a supplementary form. You can also access the form here: SUPPLEMENTARY FORM LINK.
The form requires the following information:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Name of Program
- Program Study Period – start and end dates
When prompted for the U of T division offering the program, please select: University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM-IMIx).
The supplementary form must be completed by the end of your study period.
Please note that IMIx does NOT manage the OSAP process. The University Registrar’s Office is responsible for handling all aspects of OSAP. Once both your application and IMIx's confirmation are received, The University Registrar’s Office will update the OSAP for Micro-credentials Application with the information provided by both you and your division and process your confirmation of enrolment.

U of T staff tuition waiver
University of Toronto staff may be eligible for a tuition waiver when enrolling in non-degree credit courses offered by the School of Continuing Studies and other U of T divisions. This includes executive programs offered through IMIx.
Waiver forms are available through the People Strategy, Equity & Culture website. Please note that the application process is managed by your divisional HR office.
