Notice of Construction in front of Recreation Athletics and Wellness Centre (RAWC) Entrance, Outer Circle, starting April 29, 2024

Beginning Monday, April 29th 2024, the majority of the RAWC entrance forecourt will be closed until early June. This closure is required as part of the RAWC outdoor entrance revitalization project that aims to address the poor condition of the concrete at RAWC entrance. The project will be conducted in three phases over the course of the Summer. During Phase 1, both the double door entrances along Outer Circle (across from Parking Lot P8) into RAWC building will remain open.

Subsequent Notices will be sent out for Phase 2 and 3 which will take place once Phase 1 is complete.

Bicycle racks in front of the RAWC will be removed during construction; alternative bike racks are located at Main Entrance to W.G. Davis Building on Inner Circle Rd.

There will be very limited use of the lay-by area during construction. Students are encouraged to use the Davis Building Inner Circle Rd. entrance drop-off for the duration of the Summer term.

There will be noise and vibration associated with the construction activities over the course of the project. Expect High-Medium noise and vibration levels during demolition phase which is expected to last 1 week during Phase 1.

To ensure campus community safety, fencing and detour signage will be in place to prevent access to the construction area at all times.
