John Pounder Prize
The following three John Pounder Prizes were created in 1978 by Prof. I.R. Pounder to honour the memory of his brother’s lifelong interest in Astronomy.

John Pounder Prize for AST101H5
Awarded annually to a full-time or part-time first year student who has obtained the highest grade in AST101H5, and who has obtained at least a 3.0 Sessional GPA in first year.

John Pounder Prize for AST110H5
Awarded annually to a full-time or part-time first year student who has obtained the highest grade in AST110H5, and who has obtained at least a 3.0 Sessional GPA in first year.

John Pounder Prize for AST201H5
Awarded annually to a full-time or part-time first or second year student who has obtained the highest grade in AST201H5. A full-time student must have at least a 3.0 Sessional Grade Point Average in the current year. A part-time student must have at least a 3.0 CGPA.
