U of T Mississauga has a number of ways that students can get involved in practical learning experiences. According to the UTM Academic Calendar "Experiential learning is learning by doing through carefully chosen experiences that are supported by reflection, critical analysis and synthesis, and includes feedback on the effectiveness of students' learning efforts." Visit the Experiential Education Unit website for more information on experiences available to you.
Three experiential options to consider within our department are the following:
- Independent Study or Reading Courses
- Professional Experience Year (PEY) Co-op
- Research Opportunity Program
