184734 - Academic Success Program Assistant

The Academic Success Program Assistant (ASPA) will work with the Academic Success Strategist to plan and implement programming related to first-year transition programs including utmONE, utmONE Scholars and other student-facing programming planned by the Institute for the Study of University Pedagogy.  

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
  • Students with a particular interest in education and learning are encouraged to apply
  • Past experience as a participant in the utmONE or utmONE Scholars program is an asset
  • Experience planning and evaluating co-curricular program is an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Relevant CCR Competencies that will ensure success in this role, and will also be developed further, are collaboration, goal-setting and prioritization, decision-making and action, facilitating and presenting, professionalism, and teamwork.

Please note that work will be done remotely for the Fall 2021 term with the possibility of having some in-person work in the Winter Term.  Successful candidates will need reliable access to a computer, internet, webcam, mic, and phone in order to complete their work.
