Rob Huang joined the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre in 2022 in the new role of Educational Developer, Instructional Practices and Student Engagement. Rob has a BA in Communications and Multimedia from McMaster University, a Master of Digital Media from the University of British Columbia and is currently pursuing a PhD in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the Ontario Institute for the Study of Education (OISE) at UofT with a focus on knowledge building communities and deep constructivist learning.

Rob has over 7 years of experience in several roles at the University of Toronto. Most recently as an instructional designer focusing on student engagement, active learning, and course development with the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Prior to that role, he was an interaction designer focusing on user-centred design, eLearning and pedagogical content strategies for digital distribution at OISE.
