Congratulations to Dr. Elspeth Brown, who was recently appointed to the Organization of American Historian's (OAH) Distinguished Lectureship Program. The OAH announcement highlighted that "the 2023 group of accomplished scholars offer expertise in American history topics including: Archaeology, Civil Liberties, Civil Rights, Civil War, Crime and Incarceration, Disability, Elections, Environment, Food, Immigration, Intellectual, Labor and Working Class, Legal and Constitutional, LGBTQ+, Material Culture, Medicine, Politics, Public Health & Disease; Public History & Memory, Social Movements, Urban history, and the histories of African Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, and more".

OAH Distinguished Lecturers can be booked as guest speakers for in-person or virtual keynote addresses and lectures, for book talks, to headline special events, conferences, and historical commemorations, and to lead workshops and professional development events.
