“We should come home from adventures, and perils, and discoveries every day with new experience and character”
- Henry David Thoreau
Did you know that you can complete a U of T course overseas in four to six weeks? The U of T Summer Abroad programs are designed to enrich students' academic lives by providing an exciting and educational international experience. Students complete full-year undergraduate degree credit courses from the Faculty of Arts and Science that are relevant to each location.
The University of Toronto has more than 160 partner university institutions in 40 different countries spanning six continents around the world. Each year, partner universities agree to accept a limited number of U of T students into their programs. In exchange, U of T accepts students from our partner universities. Exchange programs provide students with excellent opportunities to experience new cultures and learn new languages while earning credits towards their U of T degrees.
The University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) is committed to offering innovative, high-impact, and real-world opportunities to all of its students through experience-driven programs. High quality experiential learning (EL) programs deepen graduate and undergraduate education, respond to the needs of society, contribute to community-campus relationships and enhance the reputation of the University. The transformative potential of experiential learning builds student professional capacity through autonomy, adaptability and resilience.
UTM Abroad believes that international experiences can change your life. They created two streams of short-term international experiences that will build your global awareness, connect you to a network of like-minded peers, and give you a space to develop personally, professionally, and academically. And, these experiences fit within your regular UTM semester. Both the Academic and Co-Curricular Experiences offer in-person and virtual options to explore the world in a variety of ways.
