Dr. Damian Dupuy is a senior executive with the Ontario Public Service. Currently, he is Director of Growth Policy and Planning with the Ontario Growth Secretariat, at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. He has held similar roles in other ministries across the Ontario government, where he has led the development of strategies to support industrial sectors, urban and regional economic development, and technological innovation. Prior to joining the public service, Dr. Dupuy worked in a UK-based economic development consultancy where he led the development of strategic policy, program and planning supports for urban centered regional economies in the UK, Canada, and elsewhere. Dr. Dupuy is also a part-time lecturer in the Department of Geography, University of Toronto (St. George Campus) where he has taught a range of urban, economic, and spatial analytical courses.  He holds a BA in Economics and Geography from the National University of Ireland, and an MA and PhD in Urban and Economic Geography from the University of Toronto where he specialized in regional systems of innovation, and urban centred regional economic development.
