The appointment will begin on 01 July 2018. The post is initially funded for 12 months, with a possibility of renewal after successful review.

The Department of Women and Gender Studies and the University of Toronto Faculty Association welcome Professor Homa Hoodfar, in celebration of her one year release from a Tehran prision. Professor Hoodfar's primary research and expertise lies in legal and political anthropology. She examines the intersection of the political economy, gender and citizenship rights, women's formal and informal politics, and the public sphere, in Muslim contexts.

UTM honours Holocaust educator Judith Weissenberg Cohen

Professor Ulrich Krull, Vice-President and Principal, UTM, and Professor Amrita Daniere, Vice-Principal, Academic and Dean, presented Weissenberg Cohen with a Principal’s Appreciation Award to recognize her ongoing commitment to anti-racism, Holocaust remembrance and education.
