Holiday closures

Green wreath with red berriesPlease note that the University of Toronto Mississauga will be closed for the holidays from Monday, Dec. 24, 2018 to Friday, Jan. 4, 2019. The university will reopen and resume regular hours of operation on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

U of T Mississauga Campus Police

Campus Police Services is located in Room 3116 of the William G. Davis Building.

The U of T Mississauga Campus Police will be on duty 24 hours a day during the closing. They can be reached at 905-828-5200 for general help or at 905-569-4333 in emergency situations.

Access to the William G. Davis Building will be on a sign-in basis with Campus Police. All doors to the William G. Davis Building will be locked, except during RAWC open hours when the RAWC entrance will be open. If an officer is not present at the RAWC, s/he can be contacted by calling 905-828-5200. All other buildings will be locked during the closing and persons requiring access must make arrangements with their departments for appropriate keys.

Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre

The RAWC will operate on an reduced schedule during the holiday. Click to download a copy of the holiday schedule.

  • OPEN: Dec. 27 to 30, 2018 (9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
  • CLOSED: Dec. 31, 2018 to Jan. 1, 2019

Parking and Transportation

The Parking Office will close at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 and will resume regular hours at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

The CCT Garage will close at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018. Vehicles in the CCT Garage after this time will have exiting privileges only. The CCT Garage will reopen at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. CCT Garage permits will be valid in Lots P4, P5, P8 and P9 during this closure. Shuttle bus service and ticket sales will not be available during the closure. Shuttle bus service will resume regular operating schedule on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019. For additional shuttle bus information, please visit www.utm.utoronto.ca/shuttle.

Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre

The HMALC will close on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. and reopen on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. (resuming regular hours). For further information on Library hours, please visit http://library.utm.utoronto.ca/hours.

Remote access to electronic resources, including the U of T Library Catalogue, will be available throughout this period. For other U of T libraries, please contact the individual library or consult the Library website at http://resource.library.utoronto.ca/hours/.

Bookstore

The UTM Bookstore will close on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. For further information, please visit https://uoftbookstore.com/hours.asp.

Residence

UTM Student Housing & Residence Life provides restricted access to students who are contracted with the department to stay on campus during the holiday closure. The Residence Service Desk in Oscar Peterson Hall will be open on weekdays, excepting statutory holidays, through the winter break from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residence will re-open for the general population at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.

Information & Instructional Technology Services (I&ITS)

I&ITS will close for the holidays. Service Desk e-mail and voice-mail will not be monitored during this period. Critical services such as UTM website and internet connection to UT St. George will be maintained. Regular hours of operation will will resume on Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

I&ITS recommends that everyone unplug computers, printers and other electronic devices over the holidays. This will help to save energy and will prevent damage in the event of a power surge or cut.

Classroom Technology

This office will be closed for the holidays. Classroom technology e-mail/tickets will not be monitored during this period.
