Holiday closures


 Winter Break Campus ClosurePlease note that the University of Toronto Mississauga will be closed for the winter holidays starting Friday, Dec. 20, 2019. The campus will reopen and resume regular hours of operation on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.

U of T Mississauga Campus Police

Campus Police Services is located in Room 3116 of the William G. Davis Building.

The U of T Mississauga Campus Police will be on duty 24 hours a day during the closure. They can be reached at 905-828-5200 for general help or at 905-569-4333 in emergency situations.

Access to the William G. Davis Building will be on a sign-in basis with the Campus Police. All doors to the William G. Davis Building will be locked, except for during RAWC open hours when this entrance will be open for RAWC members only. If an officer is not at the entrance, s/he can be contacted by calling 905-828-5200. Campus Police will open the door, and record visitor's name and destination. All other buildings will be locked during the closure and persons requiring access must make arrangements with their departments for appropriate keys.

Facilities Management & Planning

Most services, including shipping and receiving, groundskeeping and custodial servies will be closed for the holidays. Building engineers will be on duty throughout the closure and may be reached through Campus Police at 905-828-5200.

Recreation, Athletics & Wellness Centre

The RAWC will be closed on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 24 to Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019
  • Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019 to Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020

Parking and Transportation

The Parking Office will be closed for the holidays as of 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 and will resume regular hours at 8 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.

The CCT Garage will close as of 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019.  Vehicles in the CCT Garage after this time will have exiting privileges only.  The CCT Garage will reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.  CCT Garage permits will be valid in Lots P4, P5, P8 and P9 during this closure. Shuttle bus service and ticket sales will not be available during this closure. The IB ticket machine will remain accessible over the holidays if needed. Shuttle bus service will resume its regular operating schedule on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020. For additional shuttle bus information please visit

Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre

The HMALC will close on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. and reopen on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. (resuming regular hours). For further information on Library hours, please visit

The UTM Bookstore will close on Friday, Dec. 20, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 6 at 8:00 a.m. For further information, please visit


UTM Student Housing & Residence Life has approved almost 400 residents to stay in residence for all or part of the winter break. These students have been provided with guidelines and contact information to report maintenance and safety concerns.

Regular on-call shifts and nightly rounds will be conducted by Residence Dons. Normal professional on-call procedures and processes will remain in effect.

The Residence Service Desk in Oscar Peterson Hall will be open on weekdays, excluding statutory holidays, throughout the winter break from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residence will re-open for the general population at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020.

Information & Instructional Technology Services (I&ITS)

I&ITS will close for the holidays. Service Desk e-mail and voice-mail will not be monitored during this period. Critical services such as UTM website and internet connection to UT St. George will be maintained. Regular hours of operation will will resume on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020.

I&ITS recommends that everyone unplug computers, printers and other electronic devices over the holidays. This will help to save energy and will prevent damage in the event of a power surge or cut.

Classroom Technology

This office will be closed for the holidays. Classroom technology e-mail/tickets will not be monitored during this period.
