Do Visitors Need to Pay for Parking?
Yes!
- Paid parking is required for all vehicles parked on UTM property at all times throughout the year
- Day, evening, weekend, & overnight parking fees are in effect for all visitor parking
- Overnight parking by visitors, including visitors to student residences, is not permitted without a valid parking permit
- Failure to purchase and register at Pay-by-Plate machine will result in an issuance of a Parking Infraction Notice (ticket) and/or a tow of the vehicle at the owner’s expense
- Visitors with an MTO Accessible parking permit must also display a valid Pay-by-Plate or virtual parking permit when parking on campus

- Find a Pay & Display machine (they are located in each lot)
- Pay & Display machines accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash, debit, Apple Pay & Google Pay
OPTION #2: AMP Parking App
Best for those who...
- Are unsure how much time they'll need
- May need to extend their ticket
- Need hourly / daily parking (but not later than midnight)
- Want to track their active session & receive expiry time notifications
- Want to use a contactless, mobile option
How to Pay using the AMP Parking App:

Step 1
Install the AMP Parking App on your phone
Step 2
Using the "Menu" screen (three parallel lines), you may Login or Create an Account*
*Creating an account is not required
Step 3
Find your location on the map and click the appropriate map marker:
Blue Map Marker: Daytime parking
(only valid for purchases before 5pm, not valid after midnight)
Black Map Marker: Evening / Weekend parking
(valid for purchases after 5pm on weekdays and all day on weekends / holidays, not valid after midnight)
*It is your responsibility to use the correct zone according to the time of purchase.
*No refunds will be issued for purchases made on the wrong zone.
Step 4
Choose the amount of time you wish to park for.
Step 5
Enter your vehicle information.
*Please ensure your license plate is entered correctly, otherwise your paid parking session will not be registered to your vehicle and you may end up getting a ticket.
Step 6
Select 'Continue' to go to checkout and fill out your credit card information
You may choose to save your credit card for extensions and future purchases.
Step 7
Select 'Purchase' to finalize your parking payment
Please Note:
The remaining time & the option to extend your parking time will be displayed in the app.
You will receive an email receipt every time you purchase or extend your parking.
A non-refundable $0.25 transaction fee is applicable to each purchase.

Step 1
Open your preferred web browser and navigate to aimsmobilepay.com
Step 2
Sign up and input your contact information if it is your first time, or login if you already have an account*
*Creating an account is not required
Step 3
Find your location on the map and click the appropriate map marker:

Black Map Marker: Evening / Weekend parking
