Benefits of Living in Residence
Living in Residence at UTM provides students with an excellent student experience. Students who choose to live in residence at UTM will be provided opportunities to engage with services that are designed to enhance community development, student learning and personal success.
All first-year undergraduate residents have access to amenities such as laundry facilities, dining halls, kitchens and high-speed wireless internet service, as well as Residence-specific programming and orientation.
Students interested in viewing Residence prior to attending UTM are strongly encouraged to join us for a tour in person. Our highly informed Residence Services Assistants (RSAs) will guide participants through residence, and are able to answer any additional questions about Residence. If, however, you are unable to join us in person, or if you would like to view our units in advance of your arrival, see our virtual tour of residence.
Residence offers more than 1,500 student spaces, and provides a diverse range of housing options designed for undergraduate, graduate and professional students, as well as students with families within the University of Toronto system. Visit the ‘Applying’ section of our website for more information.
As a student, it's important to have stable and comfortable housing in order to focus on your academic success, involvement outside of the classroom and overall enjoyment your university experience. UTM students can visit the University of Toronto Off-Campus Housing Service for a range of housing listings in the city of Mississauga and the surrounding area. This registry is updated through the Housing Services Department at the St. George Campus. You may contact the department by e-mailing email@example.com. You can also visit the UTM Off-Campus Housing page for additional resources.
At SHRL, our goal is to support your personal and academic success through safe, secure, well-maintained facilities; a supportive, diverse, and equitable community; and innovative programs and services.
