Follow the essential steps below to set yourself up for success before arriving on campus.

Step 1
Accept your offer
When: Early June, or as specified in your offer letter
- Accept your offer of admission on the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) website (our offer will include a specific deadline to accept your offer, don't miss it!)
- Log in to the JOIN U of T Applicant Website at join.utoronto.ca and check that your acceptance was received
- Review your offer letter conditions to ensure your admission to UTM
International Students: Review UTM's English Language Requirements.
Step 2
Apply for residence
When: June 9
Residence is guaranteed for all new full-time students entering their first year of university in an undergraduate program for the first time, if you:
- Complete the Residence Guarantee Application on residence.utoronto.ca by March 31, 2025
- Accept your offer of admission by the deadline (and before June 2, 2025)
- Complete the UTM Undergrad Application by June 9, 2025

Step 3
Join EagleConnect
When: June 9
EagleConnect is a free, virtual program for new UTM students.
- Learn about course enrolment
- Get answers from upper-year students
- Meet your peers before classes start



Step 4
Register for Course Enrolment Workshops
When: June - August
Course enrolment begins for all incoming first-year UTM students on July 16, 2025 (potentially earlier if you have transfer credits). There are a number of things you can do to prepare for course enrolment:
- Register for first-year course enrolment webinars & events
- Browse and discover your courses in the Academic Calendar
- Visualize options for your course schedule with the Timetable Builder
- On your course enrolment day, be ready to register for your selected courses on ACORN
Step 5
Pay your fees
When: August 12
Once you’ve enrolled in at least one course, your tuition invoice will update on ACORN. From there, you need to either make a minimum tuition fee payment or defer your fees (if eligible) to become a registered student.

- Find out if you're eligible for Scholarships

Step 6
Attend Orientation
When: August 29 - September 5
Get to campus early to learn about everything from academic preparedness, cool spots on campus, gym facilities, clubs, and more. Make friends, meet your peers, get free stuff!

You've planned and prepared, and now it's time to begin. You're officially a U of T Mississauga student!
