Celebrate Asian Heritage Month

Wednesday, May 15, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm  |  Presentation Room, Student Centre

Please join us in celebrating Asian Heritage Month by attending a facilitated origami activity and a game of trivia. You will have a chance to tap into your creative side and unwind with origami artist, Avery Lam-Hong. 

In this session, you will also have to opportunity to browse through and borrow library books on Southeast Asian heritage, and engage in meaningful conversation surrounding Asian cultures, histories and trends, while creating beautiful art.

Positively QUTE Spring Social 2024

Join 2SLGBTQ+ and allied staff, faculty and librarians on May 16 for a Spring Social at your own campus! Hosted by QUTE and Positive Space at Mississauga, Scarborough and St. George, this is an opportunity to celebrate the end of the Winter term, share the excitement for the upcoming summer and connect with colleagues over some food and drinks!

Pronoun buttons will be available. Tasty food and refreshments will be served 🌈

This event is open to all staff, faculty, and librarians who identify as 2SLGBTQ+ or who are allies. We welcome everyone who respects the purpose of these gatherings.

UTM Black Alumni and Student Reunion

Saturday, June 1, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm  |  Maanjiwe nendamowinan (MN) 

Join fellow UTM Black-identifying alumni and students for a luncheon and networking event. Hear about the U of T Black Alumni Association and Black at UTM, an initiative which aims to showcase Black excellence and make UTM a welcoming environment where Black students, staff, faculty and librarians feel included, inspired, safe and celebrated. Alumni and students will also have the opportunity to participate in a speed networking activity.  

All are welcome, but please note this event is guided toward self-identifying Black alumni and students in an effort to collectively create a space that enhances the Black experience at UTM, and strengthens community connections.
